The American Water Works Association is an international, nonprofit, scientific and educational society dedicated to providing total water solutions assuring the effective management of water. Founded in 1881, the Association is the largest organization of water supply professionals in the world. 

 

The Association’s 60,000 members, including more than 1,200 members in Indiana, work as community water providers, federal and state regulators, environmentalists, academics and scientists, and reside in all 50 states, Canada and Mexico. Our 4,700 member utilities serve 80 percent of the U.S. population.
